Green Stuffed Baked Tomatoes Recipe

6 servings



6 medium tomatoes

10 ounces fresh or frozen turnip greens, cooked, coarsely chopped

1/2 teaspoon each: dried chervil and marjoram leaves

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon each: grated fat-free parmesan cheese, unseasoned dry bread crumbs


Cut thin slice from tops of tomatoes, scoop pulp from tomatoes, discarding seeds. Chop pulp and mix with turnip greens and herbs, season to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon into tomatoes and sprinkle with combined cheese and bread crumbs. Place in baking pan and bake at 350 degrees until tender, about 20 minutes.
