Greek-Style Green Beans Recipe4-6 servings
Ingredients: 1/2 cup chopped onion 4 cloves garlic, minced 3/4 teaspoon each: dried oregano and basil leaves 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 can reduced-sodium tomatoes, undrained, coarsely chopped 1 pound green beans Salt and pepper, to taste |
Method: Sauté onion, garlic and herbs in oil in large skillet until onion is tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Add tomatoes with liquid and green beans and heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer, covered, until beans are very tender, about 30 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. |
