Pasta with Cabbage and Potatoes Recipe

6 cups thinly sliced cabbage

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth

4 medium Idaho potatoes, peeled, cubes

1 teaspoon each: dried rosemary and sage leaves

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

16 ounces pappardelle or other flat pasta, cooked, warm

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese


Combine cabbage, garlic and broth in large skillet, heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer, covered, until cabbage is wilted, about 5 minutes. Add potatoes, herbs, salt and pepper, cook, covered, over medium heat until potatoes are tender and broth is almost evaporated, about 10 minutes. Toss with pasta, sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
