Mock Chicken Legs Recipe

Mock Chicken Legs Recipe

Looking a little like lumpy chicken legs, these kebabs are also known as City Chicken.



1 pound pork tenderloin, fat trimmed, cubed

8 ounces boneless beef sirloin steak, fat trimmed, cubed

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Salt and pepper, to taste

Cream Gravy

4 1/2 cups cooked rice or noodles, warm


Arrange meats on small wooden skewers, alternating beef and pork cubes. Coat meat with flour, let stand 15 minutes. Cook in lightly greased medium skillet over medium heat until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Add 1/2 inch water to skillet, heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until meat is fork-tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from skillet, sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Serve with Cream Gravy and rice.
