Lemon Meat Loaf Recipe

6 servings



1 1/2 pounds very lean ground beef

1 cup fresh bread crumbs

1 egg

1/2 cup each: chopped onion, green bell pepper

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon each: lemon juice, grated lemon zest

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon each: dried savory leaves, pepper

3/4 teaspoon salt

Egg Lemon Sauce


Mix all ingredients except Egg Lemon Sauce, pat mixture into ungreased loaf pan, 9 x 5-inches, or shape into a loaf of baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees until juices run clear and meat thermometer registers 170 degrees, about 1 hour. Let stand in pan 5 minutes, invert onto serving plate. Serve with Egg Lemon Sauce.
