Beef Stroganoff Casserole Recipe

Beef Stroganoff Casserole Recipe

Add the sour cream to this casserole near the end of baking time is avoid curdling



12 ounces uncooked wide egg noodles

1 1/2 pounds boneless beef round or sirloin steak, cut into strips

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 pound mushrooms, coarsely chopped

2 tablespoons finely chopped onion

1 tablespoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 can reduced-sodium fat-free beef broth

1 container fat-free sour cream

Salt and pepper, to taste


Place uncooked noodles in 2 1/2 quart casserole. Coat beef with flour, arrange on top of noodles. Top with combined mushrooms, onion, paprika, and nutmeg. Pour beef broth over. Bake, covered, at 325 degrees 1 hour; stir in sour cream and bake, uncovered, 15 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
