Old Fashioned Custard Pie Recipe

Basic Pie Crust

4 eggs

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 1/2 cups fat-free milk

5 1/2 teaspoons Equal sweetener

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg


Make Basic Pie Crust, using 9-inch pie pan.


Beat eggs and salt in large bowl until thick and lemon colored, about 5 minutes. Mix in milk, Equal, and remaining ingredients, pour into pastry. Bake at 425 degrees 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake until sharp knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 12 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Serve at room temperature, or refrigerate and serve chilled.
