Cornmeal Double Pie Crust Recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/3 cup yellow cornmeal

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

5 tablespoons cold margarine or butter, cut into pieces

2 ounces cold fat-free cream cheese, cut into pieces

3 egg whites


Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt in bowl, cut in margarine and cream cheese until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg whites, mixing until dough is moist and crumbly. Flatten into a round, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 30 minutes. Roll and bake as pie recipe directs.
