Garlic Bread Recipe

Garlic Bread Recipe

Select a good quality French or Italian loaf for this aromatic bread, or use sourdough bread for a flavorful variation.



4 thick slices French or Italian bread

Olive oil cooking spray

2 cloves garlic, halved


Spray both sides of bread generously with cooking spray. Broil on cookie sheet 4 inches from heat source until browned, about 1 minute on each side. Rub both sides of hot toast until cut sides of garlic.


Parmesan Garlic Bread - Combine 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese and 4 tablespoons minced garlic. Spray bread with cooking spray as above and spread top of each slice with cheese mixture. Broil as above, or wrap loosely in foil and bake at 350 degrees until warm, about 10 minutes.
