Fried Tomatoes Recipe

4 servings

 

Ingredients:

4 medium green or red tomatoes, sliced

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Salt and pepper, to taste

Method:

Coat tomato slices lightly with flour, cook over medium heat in lightly greased large skillet until browned, 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper

 

Variations:

Sugar-Glazed Fried Tomatoes

Make recipe as above, but do not coat with flour. After tomatoes are browned, sprinkle lightly with sugar and cook until caramelized, about 1 minute on each side. Do not season with salt and pepper.
