Cheeseburgers Supreme Recipe

Top these moist burgers with your choice of catsup, mustard, raw or sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, or chopped olives, and serve with plenty of dill pickles and Crispy French Fries.

 

Ingredients:

1 pound very lean ground beef

2-4 tablespoons finely chopped onion

3 tablespoons water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

4 slices (1 ounce each) fat-free or reduced-fat Cheddar or Swiss cheese

4 hamburger buns, toasted

Method:

Mix ground beef, onion, water, salt and pepper in medium bowl just until blended. Shape mixture into four 1-inch-thick patties. Cook burgers in lightly greased skillet to desired degree of doneness, 3 to 4 minutes per side for medium. Top each burger with slice of cheese, cover skillet and cook until cheese is beginning to melt, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve in buns.
