German Potato Salad Recipe6 servings
Ingredients: 1 cup chopped onion 1 tablespoon flour 1/2 cup reduced-sodium beef broth 1 1/4 cups cider vinegar 1 tablespoon sugar 1/2 teaspoon celery seeds 1 1/2 pounds peeled potatoes, cooked, sliced, warm Salt and pepper, to taste 2 tablespoons each: crumbled cooked bacon, chopped parsley |

Method: Saute onion in lightly greased medium skillet until tender and browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in flour, cook 1 minute. Add broth, vinegar, sugar and celery seeds and heat to boiling, stirring until thickened, about 1 minute. Add potatoes and toss. Season to taste with salt and pepper, sprinkle with bacon and parsley. |
