Chicken Paprikash Recipe

4 servings



1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed

1 tablespoon margarine or butter

1 cup chopped onion

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons flour

1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth

1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth

1 cup chopped tomato

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 cup fat-free sour cream

Salt and white pepper, to taste

3 cups cooked noodles, warm


Saute chicken in margarine in large saucepan until browned, 8 to 10 minutes, add onion and garlic and saute 5 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Add chicken broth, wine, tomato, and paprika and heat to boiling, reduce heat and simmer, covered, until chicken is tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir in sour cream and cook, uncovered, 2 to 3 minutes. Season to taste with salt and white pepper, serve over noodles.
