Pasta with Goat Cheese and Onion Confit Recipe4 servings Try this dish with flavored specialty pastas such as dried mushroom, herb or black pepper
Ingredients: 4 cups thinly sliced onions 1 teaspoon each: minced garlic, sugar 1/2 teaspoon each: dried sage and rosemary leaves 1/2 cup dry white wine or fat-free milk 2 ounces each: fat-free cream cheese, goat cheese Salt and pepper, to taste 8 ounces whole wheat thin spaghetti, cooked, warm 2-3 tablespoons coarsely chopped walnuts |

Method: Saute onions in lightly greased large skillet 3 to 4 mintues, stir in garlic, sugar, and herbs and cook, uncovered, over medium low heat until onions are golden, 15-20 minutes. Stir in wine, simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Add cream cheese and goat cheese, stirring until melted, season to taste with salt and white pepper. Toss with pasta, sprinkle with walnuts.
