Hungarian Goulash Recipe6 servings
Ingredients: 2 pounds boneless beef round steak, fat trimmed, cubed 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 teaspoon minced garlic 2 tablespoons flour 1 1/2 teaspoons paprika 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves 1 bay leaf 1 can diced tomatoes, undrained 1 container fat-free sour cream Salt and pepper, to taste 12 ounces egg noodles, cooked, warm |

Method: Combine beef, onion, and garlic in greased 2 1/2-quart casserole, sprinkle with flour, paprika, and thyme and toss. Stir in bay leaf and tomatoes with liquid. Bake, covered, at 325 degrees, until beef is tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring in sour cream during last 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve over noodles. |
