Tart Lemon Dainties Recipe4 dozen cookies
Ingredients: 4 tablespoons margarine or butter, room temperature 1 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 3 tablespoons fat-free milk 2teaspoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt |

Method: Beat margarine, sugar, egg, milk, lemon juice and lemon zest in bowl until blended. Mix in combined flour, baking powder, and salt. Refrigerate until chilled, 2 to 3 hours.
Roll 1/2 the dough on floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness, cut into rounds or decorative shapes with 1 1/2-inch cutter. Repeat with remaining dough. Bake on greased cookie sheets at 375 degrees until lightly browned, 7 to 8 minutes. Cool on wire racks. |
