Old-Fashioned Apple Crisp Recipe

Ingredients:

3 1/2 teaspoons Equal sweetener

1 tablespoon cornstarch

3/4 cup unsweetened apple juice

1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest

4 cups sliced peeled apples

Crispy Spiced Topping

Method:

Combine Equal sweetener, cornstarch, apple juice, and lemon zest in medium saucepan, heat over medium high heat to boiling, whisking until thickened, about 1 minute. Add apples and simmer, uncovered, until apples begin to lose their crispness, about 5 minutes.

 

Transfer mixture to 8-inch square baking pan, sprinkle with Crispy Spiced Topping. Bake at 400 degrees until topping is browned and apples are tender, about 25 minutes. Serve warm.
