Meringue Pie Crust RecipeMakes 9-inch crust
Ingredients: 4 egg whites 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar 1 cup sugar |

Method: Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in medium bowl to soft peaks, beat to stiff, but not dry peaks, adding sugar gradually. Spoon into ungreased 9-inch pie plate, spreading on bottom and side to form a large bowl shape. Bake at 275 degrees until crust is firm to touch and very lightly browned, about 45 minutes. Turn oven off and let crust cool in oven. |
