Vinegar Biscuits Recipe

12 biscuits



3/4 cup fat-free milk

1/4 cup cider vinegar

3 tablespoons vegetable shortening, melted

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon salt


Mix milk, vinegar, and shortening, mix into combined flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt in medium bowl. Knead dough on generously floured surface 1 to 2 minutes. Pat dough into 1/2-inch thickness, cut into 12 biscuits with 3-inch round cutter. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 425 degrees until golden, 10 to 12 minutes.
