Rye Caraway Croutons Recipe

Croutons can brighten a soup, add crunch to a salad, and provide a flavor accent for many dishes.

 

Ingredients:

3 cups cubed firm or day-old French or Italian bread (1/2-3/4 inch)

Vegetable cooking spray

2 teaspoons crushed caraway seeds and toss.

Method:

Spray rye bread cubes with vegetable cooking spray, sprinkle with 2 teaspoons crushed caraway seeds and toss. Bake at 375 degrees until browned, 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool, store in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
