Quick Self-Rising Biscuits Recipe

18 biscuits

 

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon vegetable shortening

2 cups self-raising flour

3/4 - 1 cup fat-free milk

1 tablespoon margarine or butter melted

Method:

Cut shortening into flour in medium bowl until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in enough milk to make a soft dough. Roll dough on floured surface to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into 18 biscuits with 2-inch cutter. Place in greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan, brush with melted margarine. Bake at 425 degrees until golden, about 15 minutes.
