Croutons can brighten a soup, add crunch to a salad, and provide a flavor accent for many dishes.



3 cups cubed firm or day-old French or Italian bread (1/2-3/4 inch)

Vegetable cooking spray

2 teaspoons dried herb or herb combinations


Spray multigrain or whole wheat bread cubes with vegetable cooking spray, sprinkle with dried herb or herb combinations, and toss. Bake at 375 degrees until browned, 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool, store in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
